In case you missed the progress report on AuctionAds it is doing VERY well.  It is outperforming Adsense on many websites and growing fast because it is making publishers money.  Ebay recently honored AuctionAds and in particular David Dellanave and Jeremy Schoemaker with the "eBay Most Innovative Application-Buyer" award.  This was one of Ebay’s Star Developer Awards given out at their annual developer’s conference.  Hats off to both these guys and in particular to Dave on the tech side for creating a piece of technology that is amazingly scalable.

I never heard of it!

We put an AuctionAds forum on http://www.vBulletin-FAQ.com – I think this is a terrific program for forum owners and we are promoting it to our membership.

I wonder how the revenue will compare in relation to Adsense, would be nice to see some stat’s.

Good news that there is finally some real competition!

I don’t understand why AuctionAds can’t offer other payment options other than Paypal while TLA and RM do. They are all owned by one company right? I know a lot of interested publishers here in the Philippines who would love to join, but unfortunately Paypal isn’t supported here yet. And I don’t see that happening in the near future. So please, consider adding checks as a form of payment.

It doesnt really work for my site,

There arent any relevant adverts for it to place. Therefore no good for us.

I can see it is a good product, however it doesnt work everywhere.

Any one got a better way of selling the adspace on my site?

I have seen results move up and down on auction ads. The Adsense spot I replaced was doing just $17/Month when I first switched it to Auction ads. The first day I showed income was for $11 in 1 day with auction ads. Unfortunatley it hasnt followed and is sometimes nothing, sometimes a few cents and sometimes a few dollars. I am still tweaking the ads and seeing if I can increase that as it does show HUGE potential.

I contact also the AdBrite Team Managers to respond my questions and they yet hasn´t contact me!
Sorry about my english.

I have been using Auctionads for several weeks. I deleted it all from my website this morning. Problems:
1. 2000 page impressions…0 sales
2. Unable to block unrelate KWs in Java text; kept getting unrelated ads, even pron.
3. Complaints met with no viable recourse.
4. Website down time…Auctionads is down about half the time, leaving great white gaps in your web pages where ads should be running.
5. Conclusion: Auctionads sucks!

I tried it (and don’t discard trying it again), but it didn’t do very well because of the language and country.

My blog is in Spanish, most of my readers come from Spain, and even though when they click they are sent to ebay Spain to search for the keywords I set, it puts them off: they click on a specific item and it takes them to a search for different items.

I’m sure there are others like me who would really appreciate support for other countries and languages, not just a redirected search. Still, competition is always good, so keep it up.

Man AuctionAds is all I hear these days. :|
When I tried them out, I didn’t get too good of results, but I think that’s because of my niches.

Thinking about it now, I know just a site of mine that can use AuctionAds pretty well. :D

A big congratulations goes out from me to ShoeMoney on his success with it. I knew just by the name it would be very successful. ;)

I’m having some serious problems with AuctionAds. I know that this isn’t the right spot to give feedback on AuctionAds, but AuctionAds has not been responding to my emails and their site is down right now.

My first concern is that I made enough money to surpass the payment threshold in June, but I was not paid. When I wrote to AuctionAds asking about this I got no response. Maybe I’m reading the AuctionAds terms wrong, but my understanding is that I get paid for a full months revenue on the first day of the following month… What gives?

Secondly, and this is of slightly less concern. The AuctionAds site is down and reliability has been poor. This is of particular concern because it means that the AuctionAds on my site are showing up untargeted or not showing up at all.

There was also a period of several days over the last few weeks when AuctionAds were showing untargetted ads (i.e. not using my keywords) and I was not getting credit for clicks. My email to AuctionAds about this situation did not get a response. This is not acceptable. Especially if you guys intend to go up against AdSense.

I have been reasonably happy with the revenue that AuctionAds is bringing in thus far, but without better communication I can’t continue using it much longer. More importantly, I absolutely need to get paid soon or have some explanation of why I haven’t been paid!

My experience using AuctionAds, the best way to make money with it is if you directly promote a product using the URL convertor feature.

Research some of the best selling products in eBay, then write a post about the product with a link to your AuctionAds. People are usually more likely to purchase from eBay rather than an affiliate related site.

I also see that AuctionAds work better on a product related blog / site such as those related to gadgets, spy camera, beauty products, etc.

Tried it, had a few thousand clicks and a big fat 0 sales. Tried changing keywords and different categories – same results. Dropped it like a rock.

I have been with auction ads for well over a month now, and it seriously rocks, it takes time to start to pay off, and after 4 weeks the money is flooding in for me, not million..but it flogs Google for earnings, thats on a games arcade with pretty strong traffic, and traditional super low google CPM ,
My other traditional websites and blogs havent performed as well, But i guess like everything, its trial and error and testing.

3 thumbs up.. :-)

Does auctionads take some time to start posting earnings? I’ve had clicks that I’m almost positive should have turned into $. I’m just hoping that it takes a week or two for them to show revenue. Did anyone else have the same problem or did you see revenue the first time you received clicks?

Can you guys get the keyword rotation feature to work with the “;” parameter? I can’t seem to get it to work on my site.

Haven’t seen quite as much revenue from this as Adsense, but it seems to have good potential, based on what your site topic is. The new kid on the block “WidgetBucks” seems like it could give AuctionAds some competition.
