With all our talk on crappy directories (about 200) and top tier directories (5), it seems we’ve neglected the middle. WeBuildPages is on the ball with their top 28 directories list (thanks to SEO guru Stuntdubl for the heads up).
I probably trust their analysis of quality more than anyone’s… that’s the closest you’ll get to an endorsement

Good list.
Personally I used Search Directory List at: http://www.SearchDirectoryList.com which has about 3000 search directories all categorised into country/language/business niches/paid/reciprocal, etc. It’s pretty good.
I guess that there are a lot of rubbish directories on there but I find that with many of the businesses we work for they’re all looking for traffic from different countries, specific business sectors, etc.
Anyhow, hope its useful
